Before joining NM-AIST, Mr. Seleman worked with with the Institute of Accountancy Arusha in facilitating undergraduate Degree Programs as well as assising postigraduate students in quantitative research and quantitative techniques for finance and businesses for consecutively 4 years.He has been also coordinating short-courses in using several statistical softwares including STATA and EVIEWS as well as several shor-courses in Financial Market & Investment Strategies and Financial Time Series Modelling.
Mr. Seleman has tremendous skills in exporing the world financial markets (stock market and foreign exchnage markets) by applying several techniqual analysis (charts) and fundamental analysis (application of several macroeconomic variables, such as GDP, Inflation, Interest rate, CPI, etc) in determining the future trends of these markets. Additionally, the application of swithcing models in determining the movement/states of dirrent markets.
Main research interest covers areas of Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Financial Programming and Forecasting, Managerial Economics, Data analysis, Econometrics Modelling with forecasting skills (OLS, VAR, SVAR, VECM, ARDL, DOLS Modelling, FMOLS, ARCH, GARCH, GARCH M, SWITCHING REGIME MODELS, and STRUCTURAL MODELS etc. With a multi-disciplinary academic background comprising B. in Economics and Finance, Masters of Science in Finance and Investment both from Institute of Accountancy Arusha, Tanzania. I am highly interested in integrated research projects between science, technology, innovation (STI) and economics;business financing and development, capital structures and all other things which have an impact upon people at the grass roots level.
