Prof. Emmanuel A Mpolya is a Senior Lecturer in Biostatistics and Applied Epidemiology. He holds a Ph.D in Theoretical Epidemiology (The Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI), Japan, 2014), a Masters of Medical Sciences (MMedSi) with focus on Health Economics (Tohoku University, Japan, 2011) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing (The Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), 2006). He is currently involved in multidisciplinary research in areas of One Health, nutrition and environmental sciences. In such areas he investigates infectious diseases dynamics at the animal-human interface, evaluates economic impacts of toxins in foods and investigates various correlates of health problems related to water, sanitation and hygiene. Besides, he provides consultancies in data management, project evaluation and project impact analyses.
