I hold a Masters degree on Agricultural and Applied Economics and a BSc in agricultural economics and agribusiness, both from Sokoine University of Agriculture. I’m currently an Assistant Lecturer of Entrepreneurship Management at the Nelson Mandela Institution of Science and Technology where I specialize in entrepreneurship and management, research methods and communication and technology innovation courses. I’m interested in researches on sustainable food systems, technology innovation and adoption in sustainable agriculture intensification, climate smart agribusiness, economic analyses and rural development.
I am a member of the agribusiness trainers in Africa under the program of Agribusiness facility for Africa (ABF) that strengthens institutions in practical knowledge on agricultural economics and entrepreneurship, producer organizations and cooperatives fit for services and business, processing economics and entrepreneurship, value chain promotion, contract farming and investments for growth and jobs. As a trainee, I contributed in facilitating a climate smart agribusiness conference for strengthening youth where more than 2000 people from within Africa and other continents attended virtually for 3 days.
I was awarded a Masters Degree scholarship in 2016-2018 offered by the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) to pursue a collaborative Master degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics at Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania and University of Pretoria in South Africa. I am a member of the AERC and the Agricultural Economics Society of Tanzania (AGREST). I’ve written a manuscript titled “Economics of Grain Storage Techniques for Smallholder Farmers in Tanzania” which was presented in the proceedings of the 11th Scientific Conference of the Agricultural Economics Society of Tanzania.
