Sophia bakili is Assistant Lecturer at the School of Materials, Energy, Water and Environmental Sciences (MEWES). She completed her M.Sc. in Environmental Science and Engineering at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology in Arusha, Tanzania and BSc. (Ed) in chemistry and biology at the University of Dar es salaam, Tanzania. She has research interests in environmental science, societal transformation, renewable energy and climate change. Sophia is currently pursuing her PhD in Renewable Energy and Engineering at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology in Arusha, Tanzania and her research title is “ Optimization of Furfural Selectivity Over Synthesized Mesoporous Titanium-Niobium Mixed Oxides ”
