Experience & Activities

Dr. Anita M. Rugaika is a lecturer at the School of Materials, Energy, Water and Environmental Sciences (MEWES). She completed her PhD in Chemical Engineering at the KU Leuven, Belgium. She did her MSc. in Environmental Technology and Management at Ardhi University in Dar- es- Salaam, Tanzania and BSc. in Environmental Sciences and Management at Sokoine University of Agriculture in Morogoro, Tanzania. Anita has research interests in wastewater and faecal sludge treatment, technologies, management and resources recovery; use of constructed wetland technology for wastewater treatment, the use of different technologies for environmental management; and water quality assessment.
