During her visit on 27 November 2025, the Ambassador expressed appreciation for the commitment of NM-AIST students, faculty, and leadership, noting that their work reflects a strong dedication to addressing societal needs. She highlighted that NM-AIST’s innovation-driven culture and community-centered approach demonstrate significant investment in advancing both economic growth and social well-being. NM-AIST Vice Chancellor, Prof. Maulilio Kipanyula, reiterated the Institution’s mission to tackle industrial and societal challenges through research and innovation. He emphasized that participatory research—bringing together students, communities, and industries—is a key strategic focus designed to generate impactful and sustainable solutions.
Prof. Kipanyula further stated that NM-AIST is well positioned to support Tanzania’s National Development Vision 2020–2050 by leveraging its experts, research strength, and robust infrastructure to contribute to priority sectors such as science and technology, energy, and industrial development.

He also noted that the Institution continues to benefit from longstanding collaboration with South Korea, which has supported academic staff development and infrastructure enhancement. A major achievement of this partnership is the establishment of a technology park, envisioned to catalyze the production of diverse technological products and stimulate innovation-driven growth.
Prof. Kipanyula concluded that these collective efforts will continue to strengthen cooperation between NM-AIST and Korean institutions, opening new avenues for shared progress and development.
