Morogoro, October 7–9, 2025 — A team from the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) took part in the First Training of Trainers (ToT) and Project Management Meeting of the TANZIE Project – Tanzania Internationalisation Strategies for Higher Education Institutions (2025–2028), held at Mzumbe University in Morogoro.

The three-day workshop, supported by Erasmus+, brought together Tanzanian and European partner universities to strengthen internationalisation in higher education. The training aimed to build the capacity of participants to promote international collaboration, improve teaching and research quality, and create globally connected learning environments.

TANZIE involves four Tanzanian universities — Mzumbe University, Muslim University of Morogoro (MUM), NM-AIST, and Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS) — working with European partners: University of Alicante (Spain), Saarland University (Germany), and EFMD Global (Belgium).

The event focused on Capacity Building for Internationalisation (Work Package 4) and served as a platform for sharing experiences, reviewing project progress, and planning future activities. NM-AIST’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to strengthening international partnerships and advancing excellence in higher education.
