The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology, under the Directorate of Research and Innovation, hosted a dynamic incubation workshop led by JC de Tauzia, CEO of Descartes Development and Innovation – France. The workshop was focused on “Fostering an Environment for Knowledge Exchange.”

Key topics discussed included pre-incubation, incubation, and post-incubation strategies,mentoring innovators, and marketing strategies . Innovators had a chance to receive feedback on their projects to explore entrepreneurial strategies, gain valuable networking opportunities, exchange innovation insights, and enhance their understanding of crucial market dynamics.

The workshop brought together members of the Directorate and the Incubation Committee. NM-AIST’s incubation services offer comprehensive support to innovators, providing them with tailored mentorship, networking opportunities, and the resources needed to bring their ideas to life. DDI, a technopole, facilitates innovation in collaboration with academic partners such as Université Gustave Eiffel and operates a fablab and an incubator.
