The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Finance, Planning, and Administration, Professor Suzana Augustino, has urged employees to actively participate in the implementation of the Public Servants and Institutions Performance Measurement System (PEPMIS). Professor Augustino conveyed this message during a recent meeting with staff members of the institution on June 10, 2024. She emphasized that the utilization of this system offers significant advantages for employees, the institution, and the nation as a whole. During the meeting, Mr. Amon Mkocha, the Planning Officer, highlighted that the PEPMIS system evaluates the performance of individual employees and the institution collectively. PEPMIS serves as an alternative to the Outcome-Based Performance Appraisal System (OPRAS), aligning with the directive of Her Excellency, President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan. This initiative aims to reinforce accountability systems, empowering leaders and public servants to effectively fulfill their duties regardless of time or location.
