Vice Chancellor Prof. Maulilio Kipanyula stated that the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology aims to undertake a mission towards sectoral transformation through applied research and innovation.
 
 
Prof. Kipanyula made these remarks during the opening of a two-day HEET Curricula validation workshop on July 2, 2024, at Corridor Spring in Arusha.
 He emphasized that this strategy is designed to facilitate targeted transformation across various sectors by harnessing research and innovation at NM-AIST. The institution aims to champion science, engineering, technology, and innovation for industrial and economic transformation, thereby reinforcing its role as a Pan African Centre of Excellence.
 
“We are committed to leveraging science, engineering, technology, and innovation to drive economic sector transformation by developing scalable research solutions,” said Prof. Maulilio.
The workshop, attended by academic staff and management, is supported by the HEET Project. Its objective is to raise awareness and promote a comprehensive understanding of ongoing national reforms.
