On September 25, 2024, the Judiciary ICT Strategy Subcommittee visited the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) to discuss potential collaborations aimed at improving the judiciary system.
Judge Saidi M. Kalunde, the Chairperson of the Subcommittee, highlighted the need for innovative technologies and research to develop effective judicial solutions, enhance training, and support research initiatives.
Prof. Maulilio Kipanyula, the Vice Chancellor of NM-AIST, welcomed the delegation and emphasized the institution’s commitment to contributing to the Tanzanian government’s goals through research and collaboration.
The visit included a tour of the NM-AIST ICT Research Center, showcasing advanced data analysis and storage capabilities, which could facilitate future partnerships to enhance the judicial system in Tanzania.
