I’m currently an Full Professor of Environment at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology where I train and supervise MSc and PhD students. I received a Ph.D. from the Technical University, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology Trondheim, Norway and a BSc. in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. My research generally focuses on developing knowledge on water quality improvement and developing smart systems for water and wastewater treatment. I am also a Professional Engineer registered by the Engineers Registration Board practicing in various engineering projects around the country and abroad. I also run a consulting company ENVSOL Technology Company Limited implementing wastewater treatment project realizing recovery of resources such as biogas, nutrients and water for plant grow and irrigation in the Eastern Africa Region.
