Mr. Malima is an Assistant Lecturer of the School of Business Studies and Humanities at Nelson Mandela – African Institution of Science and Technology. Prior to joining NM-AIST, he worked as a researcher and assistant lecturer at the University of Iringa. Mr. Malima has worked with various research projects in the area of technology adoption, value chain and monitoring and evaluation. He worked as a research consultant for the IITA’s African RISING project (facilitating technologies adoption by small scale farmers) and for Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor – SAGCOT to develop a Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for the organization. In addition, he worked with SNV to strength producer groups in collective bargaining and organizational governance in the Sunflower value chain in Tanzania and with SoilCares company to evaluate customer’s willingness to purchase and adopt farming technologies in Kenya. Other projects he has worked for are the Companion Village Project (CVP) and Visual Problem Appraisal (VPA) – FCC

Mr. Malima holds an MSc in Management of Development from the Van Hall Larenstein University, Netherlands and Master of Business Administration (Entrepreneurship and Marketing) from Tumaini University, Tanzania. He earned his BSc in Agriculture General from Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania. He is currently undertaking his PhD studies in the School of Management and Economics of the Beijing Institute of Technology. Also, He is a member of the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEP) of Beijing. His research areas interests including the adoption of technologies, Innovation Development, marketing and acceptance of alternative fuel technologies.
