Issakwisa Bernard Ngondya (PhD) is a Plant Community Ecologist whose research interests includes but are not limited to (i) Restoration of degraded Rangelands (ii) Environmentally friendly methods of managing invasive species (iii) Conservation policy formulation (iv) Ecosystem Management.

His PhD Dissertation was on Nature Based Approaches for Managing Invasive Species, a method that has proven successfully in both screenhouse and in the field. His work on Nature Based Approach for Managing Invasive Plants in Ngorongoro Conservation Area resulted in formulation of a Nation Task force that was tasked to develop the Nation’s only Strategy and Action Plan for Managing Invasive species in which he was a member.
