Dr. Cecilia Rolence China is a Lecturer. Interested on cleaner production in Textile and Leather industries. She has 7 years’ experience in leather research, particularly, development of innovative eco-friendly chemicals for leather processing. She recently innovated an eco-friendly and cost- effective system of processing leather using locally available raw materials. She has published several articles and presented her work in the local and international conferences. She won several awards and fellowships both locally and internationally. She led and participated in several projects related to textile,leatherand sisal sector development in Tanzania. Currently, she is leading an important project on improving the quality of leather and leather products made in Tanzania for easy access to the global market. As a pioneer in technologies development, she is aspiring to transform leather, sisal and textile industry of Tanzania through technology transfer mechanism.
