The institution's Project Coordinator and Deputy Vice Chancellor for Planning, Finance, and Administration, Prof. Suzana Agustino, stated during the handover ceremony today, September 12, 2023, that the project's aim is to make the institution smarter through enhancing ICT.

According to Prof. Suzana, the equipment will help students and researchers study and engage in more digital innovation activities.

On the other hand, the institution will make sure that the project's objective, bringing about economic change inside the institution and universities in Tanzania, is achieved, according to Prof. Anthony Mshandete, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic, Research, and Innovation.

Prof. Mshandete thanked the World Bank, the Government of the Sixth Phase of Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, and the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology for including the institution as a project beneficiary.
