Professor Maulilio Kipanyula, vice chancellor of the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology, has outlined how crucial the Principal Investigator is to the institution's growth.
On August 25, 2023, Professor Kipanyula made this statement during a meeting with the institution’s principal investigators in order to get to know one another and discuss the status of the projects' implementation.
"The principal investigator is an important engine in contributing to the development of the institution," said Professor Kipanyula.
He added that they need to work together to plan and implement to get good results.
He has stated that it is crucial to provide a supportive environment in order to achieve positive outcomes in the execution of daily duties.
Prof. Linus Munishi, Principal Investigator, added that cooperation is essential to the timely and efficient of proposal for diverse initiatives.
Prof. Anthony Mshandete, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academics, Research, and Innovation, urged the Principal Investigator to adhere to the Vice-Chancellor's directions so that the institution can advance.
