The NM-AIST signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Floresta Tanzania with the main objectives of Building the capacity of Smallholder Farmers, researcher’s staff, and students through collaborative learning, experimenting, and mentoring for an enhanced scaling and commercialization of research outputs and farmers’ technologies, and to facilitate farmer’s transformation to agribusiness.

The signing ceremony took place at Vice Chancellor Office at NM-AIST Tengeru campus on 9th September, 2022.

The implementation of this MoU will start with the framework of Farmer Research Network project in which NM-AIST will lead farmer experimentation to evaluate pesticide plants and other sustainable pest management activities in farmer groups at FLORESTA.

Our main outcome is creating impacts through research and close collaboration with smallholder farmers for sustainable farming systems in Tanzania and beyond.
