Opening the France–Tanzania Bilateral Workshop on Education, Science, and Knowledge Sharing, Prof. Mwemezi Rwiza, Dean of the School of Materials, Energy, Water and Environmental Sciences, emphasized the importance of partnerships in driving knowledge-based solutions to societal challenges. He officiated the event on behalf of the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic, Research and Innovation.

Hosted by the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) through its Centre of Excellence in Water Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy Futures (WISE-Futures), the three-day workshop runs from 21st to 23rd October 2025 at the institution’s Arusha campus.
Bringing together participants from Tanzania and France, the workshop explores the theme:
“Water Challenges & Solutions: From Demonstration to Cooperation and Education.”

The event aims to strengthen academic collaboration, enhance international knowledge exchange, and foster innovative research partnerships addressing global water challenges.
Through expert presentations, discussions, and shared experiences, the workshop provides a platform for students, researchers, and faculty to engage in meaningful dialogue and co-create sustainable solutions for the future.
