The School of Business Studies and Humanities (BuSH)
The education and training approach adopted by NM-AIST is to blend Science and Engineering, and incorporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship to enable development of solutions that address the various and many needs, problems and challenges confronting the society and industry.
In this regard, the School of Business Studies and Humanities (BuSH) plays a unique role at the NM–AIST. It is responsible for the delivery of courses that impart onto the students attributes of innovation, entrepreneurship and strategic leadership that will enable them to become effective industry captains, techno-preneurs and innovation managers. The School offers common core courses that are compulsory and common to all Master's and PhD students at the NM-AIST. These courses include: Innovation Management and Competitiveness; Entrepreneurship and Management; Philosophy, Ethics and Law; as well as Research Methodology and Communication Skills.
The School of BuSH envisages offering Master's and PhD programmes in the following fields:
- Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship; (IM-E)
- Intellectual Property and Technology Management (IP-TM);
- Science, Technology and Innovation Policy and Leadership.
The School of BuSH training curricula is designed to incorporate strong entrepreneurship modules in Science, Engineering, Technology and Innovation (SETI). The BuSH's curriculum also seeks to accommodate, enable, stimulate, catalyze and harness the innovativeness and entrepreneurial qualities inherent in the young generation.
